In 2006 I felt was thinking too much when making artworks. I just wanted to make happy drawings with no or little meaning. I started to make colourful felt tip images of party-flags or flowers and then carefully cut the lines out with a sharp knife. The resulting objects were hung on the wall with pins so that they casted a shadow on the wall.

It was an incredibly joyful and refreshing thing to do. Ultimately, I think the above drawings led me to make the work 24 Carat Strawberry Mousse in 2006/07 and the installation My 24 Carat Floating Sign of Eternal Love for You in 2008.
