Personal Information
My name is Jeroen Offerman. I am a visual artist who works in a wide variety of media such as film, video, performance, sculpture and installation. Time is an important factor in my works, whether it be sculptures, performances or otherwise. I add time to space and objects.
This website presents some of my projects in chronological order, from the early nineties up until now. Every project-page contains some visual documentation and text about one specific work.
If you would like to have a more general idea of the drives in my art practice for the past years then I advise you to read the “Letter to a Curator” on the Reviews & Texts page that you find below.
Update 2018: The above mentioned text is now 6 years old. The term “void” is often mentioned in it as a space where new things can start to exist; a space for imagination, a turning point. Working to develop new ideas since 2014 feels for me like working from that “void” again, moving away in a new direction.
